Service Description

The Herbal Path offers natural health education through wellness consultations. All consults are currently with Jessica, our Clinical Herbalist, in both our Dover and Portsmouth locations. Wellness consultations are not natural medicine; they are natural wellness education and may include information about herbs, supplements, foods, lifestyle choices, breathing techniques and more. Wellness consultations with our herbalists and pharmacists are available by appointment only, and may be experienced one-on-one, with children, couples, entire families, and even pets. Q: How Much Does a Wellness Consultation Cost? All consultations require upfront payment upon scheduling. Clients will be charged a non-refundable payment of $100 for a 1 hour initial visit or $50 for a 30 minute follow up. If during the appointment the client chooses to go over this time, additional charges will be applied at the end of the visit at a rate of $100 per hour. Example: the consult goes 1 hour and 15 minutes, so an additional $25 will be paid at the end of the appointment. More complex cases often benefit from a 90 minute initial consultation. Q: How Should I Prepare for My Consultation? • Please also keep a food log for at least two or three days of everything you eat and drink, the more details the better. This can be brought to the appointment or emailed ahead of time. • Please bring all medications, supplements and over the counters to the appointment. • We recommend that clients email their educator in advance with a photo or list of all medications and supplements they plan to bring, including prescriptions, over-the-counter items, vitamins and other supplements. A photo of the supplement facts panel is preferred, as it provides detailed information such as product ingredients, dosages, and other relevant details. While this is not mandatory, it is very helpful. Please remember to also bring the physical bottles to your appointment. • It is also a good idea to bring a pen and notebook/paper to take notes. Please contact us at 603-740-8400 with any questions.

Statement of Understanding & Cancellation Policy

STATEMENT OF UNDERSTANDING Only a physician (MD) can diagnose, treat illness, and prescribe medicines. As an Herbalist or Pharmacist and not an MD, I neither diagnose nor treat disease. Neither do I prescribe remedies. The human body has the innate power to heal itself. Without this power to self-heal, even the most advanced medications and surgical procedures would ultimately fail. The role of the Herbalist or Pharmacist in this healing process is to consider the client as a whole person, and to consult the client concerning changes in lifestyle, diet, and supplementation to foster an increased state of balance and health, thus maximizing the body’s self healing capabilities. I encourage and advise clients to seek professional medical advice regarding any illnesses or symptoms they are suffering from. This information, in turn, will aid in the process of a holistic, herbal consultation. What is the Cancellation Policy? Because our herbalist and pharmacist spend significant time preparing for each visit, we kindly ask that you notify us as soon as possible if you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, ideally at least 48 hours in advance. If you cancel your appointment you may reschedule for up to 1 year from the date of the original appointment. Payment is non-refundable.
